Christmas!

Wednesday, December 27th, 2006

My study in Samuel continues, I am reading about how Saul’s jealousy grew toward David. One of the things that was impressed upon me is how Saul lost his anointing as King. He didn’t follow God’s commands and lost the anointing as king…but this didn’t mean that he couldn’t still be “saved” and have a relationship with God, but rather just that he wasn’t going to be king.

It was impressed upon me how this parallels to ministry today, the NT talks about requirments for pastors and elders which include not having heavy impacting (for lack of a better phrase) sins in your past. I think this is foreshadowing how ministry personnel can do things to loose their ability to function as ministers and elders but not loose their salvation.

Anyway, on to life… :) Christmas was wonderful and Seth enjoyed himself too!! Amber got some neat scrap booking items and I got an xBox 360. A special thanks to Amber for finding ways to boost up her Christmas money to be able to purchase the 360 without impacting our finances (thank you hon!).

There is still a LOT of snow here in Colorado and another ~12 inches on it’s way at the end of the week! I LOVE IT HERE!!! :)

Happy New Year everyone!
