All Knowing and Ever Patient~

Friday, July 27th, 2007

I continue to read in Matthew, maybe not a chapter a day since we have had company and some dificulties Amber and I have been working through but God continues to teach.

I read today about Jesus healing on the Sabbath…and how the Pharisees started to plot to kill Jesus because of this (Matthew 12). I was reminded how Jesus always knew what people thought, there are other stories in the gospels where Jesus directly responds to thoughts and not even words. But yet, even knowing these people went off to plot against Him, He still taught, He still healed, and He still loved them!

It’s awe inspiring to me that Christ is able to show mercy and love through patience when He knows in people’s hearts they are plotting against Him. What can we learn from this? — Sometimes I “think” I know what people are thinking…and sometimes when I “think” I know people are thinking badly of me I’ll react in turn…maybe I need to, even when I “know” that people are thinking badly, react in Love and in Mercy with Patience?

Be encouraged today to not jump to conclusions when dealing with others, and even if you “think” you know what people’s thoughts are, allow Mercy and Love to show through no matter what others are “thinking“! And open your heart to accept that love of Christ and know that you are important to Him who is abounding in Mercy and Love! Rest in Christ today!
